Bournemouth Air Festival August 18th – 21st

Thursday sees the start of the 3rd free Air Festival on Bournemouth Seafront.

Some of the attractions in the air include:- The Red Arrows, The Blades, Sally B, Tornado and the Avro Vulcan.

Christchurch International Food & Wine Festival Market

Christchurch International Food & Wine Festival now only 6 weeks away.  This year will be the biggest year yet with many new stalls and demonstrations by celebrity chefs.  Once again this year Druid House with help from other businesses and volunteers will be running the charity stall raising money for Macmillan Caring Locally & the Food Foundation Trust.  Why not come on down to Christchurch on the 7th & 8th of May for the International Food & Wine Festival Market Weekend being held in Christchurch High Street only 2 minutes from Druid House.  Hope to see you there.

Splashpark

Place Mill

Place Mill is a carefully restored Anglo-Saxon watermill situated on Christchurch Quay in the attractive Priory Quarter. The mill was mentioned in the Domesday Book and survived the dissolution of the monasteries of 1538 and continued to grind corn until 1908. Today the mill is an art gallery featuring a permanent exhibition by resident artist Cherie Wheatcroft.

Red House Museum & Gardens

A charming building, built in 1764 as a workhouse, now home to a wide variety of displays and exhibitions including local social and natural history, geology & archaeology. You can see the Saxon burial, Arts & Crafts furniture or dresses from 1903 – 1939.

Christchurch International Food Market

On the 7th and 8th of May, Christchurch Town Centre hosts the annual International Food Market, where over 100 traders sell a variety of food, clothes, household goods, plants and bric-a-brac in the High Street and Saxon Square.

Mudeford Ferry

Mudeford is a small fishing village in the borough of Christchurch, Dorset, sited at the entrance to Christchurch Harbour. The Mudeford Ferry operates between Mudeford Quay and the Beach at Mudeford Sandbank, every 12 minutes.

Mudeford Sandbank and beach is the dramatic strip of land adjoining Hengistbury Head. On one side is the sea and on the other Christchurch Harbour. Gorgeous pastel coloured beach huts sit in the sun, surrounded by the golden sandy beach.
